Not sure if this qualifies, but, the first time we visited Taos, we ate here:
taosdining.com guide to Taos restaurants, eateries, bars - Taos Pizza Out Back
It was great!

When my Mother in law visited in October, we did the 'circle' and had lunch at the 'Apple Tree' in Taos. It was very good, although I'm not sure if they have beer and wine, but I think they do. Burgers, salad, chile and Mom had soup - all was awesome. Plus it's got great character.

Eske's Brew Pub is the local Micro Brewery. Orlando's right outside of town has excellent "New Mexican" food.

I second Orlando's. The food is excellent. It's fun to sit outside.
Michael's is supposed to be the best place in town for breakfast. We ate there at lunch and enjoyed it.
We ended up at the Ranchos de Taos grill by the St. Francis of Asis Church outside of town one night. We really enjoyed that too.
The Cantina in the alley off the main plaza was pretty good too. I haven't eaten there for a couple of years.

I heard the Apple Tree might be for sale so you would need to check and see if it's still open.

I don't remember the name of the Mexican place, some hole in the wall type place but they had the best food. In other words, they make burritos the correct way like I make them.
If this rings a bell with anyone, please post that restaurant too.

It is for sale and it is still open.
Another option for lunch would be 5 star burgers.

That sounds like El Pueblo Cafe. It looked like a complete dive but it had excellent burritos. Unfortunately, it closed over the summer.

Does anyone remember La Dona Luz when it was a resturant and not a B&B? I loved that place. I think the chef's name was Frenchie. Great place!
