I am now trying to get more information about Medical laboratory technician job, because next term I have to pick a major. I like to be a nurse, but waiting list make me wanna give up. I am now early 30' and I need to have a professional job for living and having family.

I am thinking to be working in the Lab. I know that NM have many lab company such as Tricore and hospitals that I can get a job after I finished my 2 years school at CNM.

Is anyone here working as the Medical Lab Tech? Would you please give me advice about this field that should I go for it or change for good.

I wonder about how they pay in this state and the advance of career.
Thank you very much for your time and expert, I really appreciated.

One place you can go for salary information in any region of the country is www.salary.com. I've gotten alot of good information from that site.

Also, I've been an ASCP certified MLT for over 15 years and love what I do, but it's not for everyone. If you're not sure, you might want to job shadow for a few days to see if it's the right profession for you.

Good luck!
