Hotsprings was the name of T or C. because of the TV program it was changed to Truth or Consequences. Has anyone ever been to any of the Hotsprings there no one talks about them? >>>> Socorro is famous for Elfego Baca a Disney Movie was made of this famous Lawman and Lawyer. Socorro is still a little more Wild of a Town then T or C. el pintada kid

Let me correct you just slightly. Our name change was due to the Radio Show, which offered any city in the United States to change their name to Truth or Consequences, and they would host an annual event honoring this change. We won the contest and that is how we got our name.
The hotsprings here are awesome. I have and continue to visit several of the hotsprings.

The best hot spring is the San Francisco Hotsprins near Silver City.

When you get into T or C, stop by our Chocolate store.

Cocoa! I think this is the best post you've made yet! Thank you for the information about TorC, that is so wild! I've always sortof wondered. While you still continue to plug your store, which probably isn't the best use of this forum, I can understand being excited about your business. I'd be excited to have my own foodie business, and your chocolates do look delightful, very imaginative, yet classic at the same time. Yum. Do you roast your own cocoa beans? Are you from TorC, and if not, how did you settle on TorC for your business?
I think I remember reading that you -or your partner?- went to the Scottsdale Culinary Institute Le Cordon Bleu, which stuck with me because I went there too! Probably one of the funnest things I ever did. I just had a blast, it was foodie heaven, truly. Since then, I've worked as a personal chef and caterer, but I'd really love to have a little cafe, I have several different ideas as to what I'd do, but we'll see what the future holds.

Minathebrat - the Wilton, New Hampshire diner closed when the litle old ladies either died or sold out. We couldn't find a place for coffee over the weekend.

Thannk you Minathebrat. No we do not roast our own cocoa beans. We import our chocolate from Venezuela and hand make all the truffles in our shop.
Truth or Consequences has been our home for over 11 years, and we love it dearly. Daughter graduated from Scottsdale and wanted to come back to be close to her family. We decided to take the bull by the horns and start a chocolate business, something that everyone loves.
I was not aware of how many regulars are on these forums and apologize for the (SPAM). I am new to this blog stuff, and learn something everyday thanks to great people like you and the other regulars.
Have a sweet day!!

Oh, that's great. I've heard that TorC has a neat assortment of eclectic shops, so your chocolate shop is a welcome addition, I'm sure.
It's amazing to me how much chocolate varies from origin to origin. I almost feel that it has more geographical difference than coffee..but saying that too loud might get me shot! lol
I think that's excellent that you wanted to go into business together and make it a family affair. I was surprised too, -in a good way- about how many "regulars" there are on these boards. I came in looking for information about NM because I'm moving very soon, and have found so much great information, nice people, and a welcome distraction from the craziness of moving! lol
Can I tell you that I'm super-intrigued about your Bananas Foster truffle! I LOVE chocolate covered cherries- especially the ones soaked in liqueur, but I've never had a chocolate where it was a rum-soaked banana!
