All this talk of going riding and I am horseless......heck, I don't even know anyone here who owns a horse.
But I have a whole bunch of tack in my garage.

Can't wait! I'm officially not on speaking terms with snow and ice. I'm making the move late February yay

Oh, noobs are MUCH desired, they're so willing to learn whereas some seasoned people may decide they know the *best* way. I like to see things through new people's eyes too. Adds a new perspective to things. I do notice that I have to take into account that things I see commonly they may have never seen and the shock/disgust factor can be huge.

That's a true horsewoman! Move the tack across country. The horse will be found later.

We're a fine pair. You have tack and ability to ride, I have horses and not able to ride. Now, if we were only in the same state........that'd solve both our problems!

LOL Horses are cheaper to replace than tack. And, I was forewarned that saddles are alot more expensive out here, esp. used ones. And, its true.
I saw a used one exactly like mine for $700, and I only paid $400 for mine brand new. And mine isn't so old to have justified a big markup.

Thanks Rose Everytime I see your name "Did you say your name was Rambling Rose? Ramble on baby, settle down easy, Ramblin Rose!" goes thru my head-along with tune! lol

-though I'm curious as to what this shock/disgust factor you refer to is about!

When I move to NM full time I would consider owning a horse. More than likely I'll get a dual use dirt bike.

We moved here from Maine.

The saddle I mentioned is a Circle Y synthetic. No need for it to be that high priced and be used to boot.
But I did notice you can pick up a horse dirt cheap here.

*passing out*

Wow. That's a big difference. If I could have ANY saddle I wanted, it'd be a plantation saddle. I refuse to have a saddle that costs more than my horse though. And with shipping and tax, this one would.
