I'm really looking forward to planting succulents and fan palms of various types on our land. Will be back in town on Thursday or Friday at the latest to check out some commercial properties and dither about in the desert some.....might place a few Pecan's and pistachio's as well, eventually. I'm seriously into "perturbing the soil" where ever I place my hat.

I live in T or C and love the weather. We have never had zero visibility from winds blowing sand like they have in Deming, but it IS windy. (Of course right now it's perfectly calm.) I like the fact that T or C/Elephant Butte is an oasis in the desert, with 2 lakes, Rio Grande River, and 10 bath houses with natural hot mineral water to soak in, with prices from $3-15. Moving from a similar sized town on the central coast of CA 3 years ago, I really like being near the water. And my health is MUCH better!

Spaceport America is going to bring new jobs to the area; just don't know if there is a job that will suit your needs.

You can be as reclusive or as involved as you choose to be, but there is plenty going on here for those that like to get involved.

There are run down trailer houses but lots of new (and more) money is moving here, and some of us have spent a lot of time and money fixing up.

T or C was just approved to be a part of the "Main Street" project, so that could bring improvements to downtown, too.

T or C doesn't have anything that one of these cannot cure.
