Maybe you should teach your dog to chew.

Teaching your dog to hump someone's leg is funnier.

I usually take the bone away when it gets so small, he can swallow it.
He also likes to turn upside down and throw it around.
Stick to larger bones and take it away when it becomes too small.
Speaking of olive oil, did that do the trick?
I've read where a person swallowed a lot of olive
oil one time and got rid of her kidney stones.

Default Song and Bones

My Pit Bull lived to be about 15 years old but he never mentioned having any kidney stones as for telling the pit bull its too small. Does the product say when its too small take it away from your dog because he may choke on it? el pintada kid

My dog is about 60 pounds so I give him a large bone. When he chews it down to about a couple of inches, I throw it away so he won't swallow it intentionally or accidently.

PK you fancy pit bulls too??? You just earned stock in my trust dude! I've raised and admired pit bulls my entire adult life and have had 11 of these incredible dogs to date. Right now I've only one, a young kick-ass stud named Beowulf who is about 80+ pounds and a tad over a year in age. He's a "Bully" style pit, incredibly popular right now and expensive to obtain. Steel gray and white with light gold eyes; muscles on his muscles!!! I intend to breed him eventually when I set up shop in NM. The female will have to be closely line bred and his equal in quality (not an easy task as he is alpha to the max!). His pedigree is far better than my own, I'm afraid, and he eats like a king. If I make a protein shake, he gets part of it! I usually do not give him bones, however, He is no stranger to them. Generally I give him LARGE bones with some meat remaining on them and let him whittle away at them for a few days before I dispose of them.

His daddy is a show dog and has won many championships. I'm not sure whether I'll show this muscle-stud puppy yet, but he has the goods...that's for sure! I love this dog on a par with my departed Fazoo and am very mindful of what enters his huge mouth!

I always have use for more old shirts and pants as we have tug of war matches and they end up shredded to bits. Lately, with my wounded right mitt, he has the edge and can whup me!!!

I could tell many yarns about each and every pit bull I've had the honor of sharing my life with! Many are the stories and fascinating. These are truly remarkable and incredible canine super-athletes and have been much maligned by the ignorant general public and tabloid press, to a great extent. In all my 30+ years with these exceptional and peerless dogs I've never had one problem with humans. They have been my friends, protectors and comrades for years and I've grown from a young, strong man into a graying old has-been and still a pit bull is at my side!!! I wouldn't have it any other way!

Draccy, you are not a has-been.
We have a lot of pits running Timberon. Our neighbors pit just had 11 pups.
They are also the most tolerant dog with kids.

Since there is some love for the APBT in this thread, I'm going to attach a picture of my recently adopted mutt. He's a mix, but I think he's got a little pittie in him. He's mixed with something larger like a shepherd. 40 lbs and still growing and thinks he's a lap dog. Sweet but very very hyper.
