There are options here. If you think someone "started something" then report the post.
Responding in kind means you are doing exactly the same thing you are accusing others of.

Thanks for the advise.
from now on I'll refrain, and will only let users know that I am a demmie (dummy, autocrat, moonbat, or whatever tag they wish to use) and it is my opinion the thread was begun in the wrong place to start with, and that the op is trolling. why do I say this? because the op cares less about what happens in new mexico, op is more concerned with beginning yet another democrat/republican controvesry. as for me, I care about new mexico, and have never said anything bad about the state, but only the truth. so, people who think we people of new mexico are moonbats for electing a democratic governor? allright. let's not forget, we are voters, and deserve the same amount of respect as we give other voters.
I have reported this thread as being in the wrong locale, and you see how far this has gone.
so, to those who are SOOOoooooo concerned about how we new mexicans feel about someone challenging bill richardson, ok, fine, but this is the wrong forum to start with this type of slime. this is NOT the politics and other controversies forum, it is the new mexico forum. so, with this being said, don't you out of staters worry your pretty damned little heads over who we new mexico voters elect for the governor seat. we're the ones voting, not you.

My opinion is that you're pretty quick to anger about the small stuff. This topic isn't even warm yet.

towanda likes to engage in pissing contests. op likes to engage in rhetoric that attacks democrats, and you? if you're a voter, you should concern yourself about the lack of services your state is about to provide, and vote for who ever you think will do the best job.

Well said highdesert and I agree. We NM's need to unite and just not respond. If someone doesn't live here or hasn't lived here in some time, they do not understand the issues.

"we on this forum have done nothing and said noting in slang terminology referring to the republican party."
Your words, not mine.
It takes 2 to have a "contest".
The Kilmer organization has issued an appology and I'll leave it at that.
Though I'll be eagerly awaiting the law suit against the reporter who defamed him.
And you're right, I have no vested interest in New Mexico politics, maybe it is time for a "change", there has got to be a few people left over from the "old school" Clinton administration you could elect, right?
"if you're a voter, you should concern yourself about the lack of services your state is about to provide, and vote for who ever you think will do the best job."
You're right! How about a republican governor for a "change"?

Show us someone better than bill richardson. (you can't)
how did this clinton smear get into this forum? (back to smearing demmies I see)
you (non new mexico residents) just don't get it.
take care of your state first, fix yours first, before you come onto the new mexico forum and slash our elected people. clean up your own back yard, and don't worry about us, we'll be fine.
last new mexican republican gov. johnson, til 2003. evidently he wasn't working out?

When it comes to squandering NM dollars through greed, theft, cronyism and corruption there is no better than Richardson. He will have an impact on NM for YEARS to come
