A gun needs to be sited in especially if you have a scope on it. I prefer pistols that are not Automatic. When i want to site in a Gun what i do is put a target out about 20 to 50 yds and make a hole in the center of the Target with shot number one. Shot number 2 is directed at hole number 1. Shoot a time or two more at hole number one and if your constantly hitting shot number 2 and you will find out if the gun shoots to the right or left or high or low or whatever. Each gun shoots different so its good to know if a Pistol or rifle shoots down or up or left etc and adjust accordingly or adjust your site to hit right on. el pintada kid
If one doesn't know that s/he needs to sight in a scope & gun combination, s/he has no business having it. Yes, I appreciate the simplicity and reliabilty of a revolver vs. an 'automatic'. I 'hunt' paper targets and leave the animals alone, although there need to be more deer hunters in TX, as the deer are overpopulating.
Sorry I got it confused with cross bow hunting that is restricted in NM and is allowed for people to use if they're over the age of 65 or are disabled.
Think I got it right this time.
