There are also alot of people in this town that do not have access to the internet judging by everytime I go to the library no matter what time of the day it is their computers are usually full. We also have several kids in my sons class that have to use the library for research. So I would really hate to see the library close, for those of us who love to read it is nice. It would be a sad day indeed if they closed it.
I agree! I love it, too!

What I'd like to see is a used/half price book store. I like Hastings but would rather not pay 25 bucks or so for a book I can get for 2 bucks at a discount store. Not that I'm a cheapskate but there's certain things I'll pay full price for and books aren't one of them.
Next time you're in the area 6/3, let some of us know and we can all meet for lunch.
NLmott needs to meet up with some of us.
I will pay full price for certain few books that I want to keep! I've stopped buying them except for a rare cookbook here and there and computer books that I want for recipes/reference/repair.

Otherwise, I go to the library/interlibrary loan. I got rid of enough books for Coxey's Army when I moved from Midland.

I don't ever intend to have that many books again! I'm getting ready to cull some more to take to the booksale at some point, either this year or next.

I wouldn't have been very happy about it, especially since it was part of all that other junk, and it was an all-or-nothing!!

Putting the spray-whatever in an area where we ration water..? How idiotic!!

Yeap what they should have done was scapped all the other crap bonds and added more money to roads as i'd been alot happier on that as the roads are in such bad shape and need a serious infusion of money.

I take back what I posted then. I didn't realize many people used the library anymore.

Yes. They let it go far too long without doing something.

I hate taxes as much as anybody, but there comes a time when you have to invest.
