Whats really kinda funny is most people in the world can handle grains/gluten as i can't and yet i can handle all dairy as i love milk and produce lactase and yet 90% of the world is lactose intolerent and can't handle dairy as it's strainge how we can be different in our Genomes.
It is strange how that works, isn't it?

I like the new steakburgers with BBQ sauce and onion rings...I have those occasionally, though I'm not much for fast food!

Hi, all!!! Just wanted to put my opinion out there.... we got back from a quick trip to Alamo a couple of weeks ago - and are busy trying to get affairs arranged so that we can move down.

I'm excited to explore the quilting guild, and there are tons of friendly people around the area!!!

I like your new photo...... is it a Celtic symbol?
I thought you were using different languages so now I know.
I was looking for fairy images at one time because I was going to have a small one put on my lower back and couldn't find any I would have liked as a tattoo but I did like the images overall and decided to use this one in my profile. Not sure if it's a Celtic one or not but having some red hair and dressing in green I thought was pretty so I put her on. Glad you like it.

I don't do great with restaurants anyway and especially fast food. I don't know how alot of people can eat out all the time. It's so unhealthy and you never know what they do to the food or what's going in it.
Give me a home cooked meal anytime.
By the way, Chilegal is a great cook.

Well, the restaurants here are, for the most part, mediocre, though some are better than others.

The fast food here is WORSE than most places. It's never all that great any other place, though.

Yes, she is a good cook!

I'm headed for Ft Davis/Alpine/Big Bend in April....and the first thing I'm going to do after I check in is go eat some good Tex-Mex food!!!

I hate to admit it, but I really do miss it. I like New Mexican food fine, but I miss the other.

OMG Cathy! You're going to Texas and the FIRST thing you're going to do is eat??
What about going to the greatest grocer ever?
(Okay I had to throw that in)
Speaking of restaurants, we went to Casa Suenos yesterday. Charlie liked it alot. We both had the buffet and I don't do well with buffets but I ate it anyway but next time we go, I'll get something else from the menu.
Loved the atmosphere and decor.

Well, considering that the nearest HEB is 195 miles away in Midland, that's sort of out of the way, LOL!! I'll be in Ft Davis!

I pass on their buffet, too, and get something from the menu. The buffet tends to sit there too long, and looks dried-out. I've liked everything I've had so far. They did bring me a plate of nachos, which I ordered from the appetizer menu, thinking I wouldn't get so much food. It was STILL a pile, and I took a doggie bag home.

The nachos had mild green chile instead of hot jals, so it was bland........but tasted good otherwise.

The thing that drives me crazy about the restaurants around here is the great variability. The same restaurant can be great one day, and barely fit to eat the next time!

Well I don't know if ya'll are joking about HEB but, I was doing really good about missing Texas until HEB came into the subject. I really miss that place, their meat was always good, the veggies were fresh and it wasn't as expensive there as it is here. My Mom always brings me tortillas and fajitas when they come so I can freeze them. When I went to the store here and asked for fajitas they looked at me like I was from outer space.

Cathy I am so jealous some real Mexican food that you don't have to cook.

We try not to eat out here very often, it seems like everytime we eat out my 8 yr old ends up sick. So needless to say I do alot of cooking.
