3/13/2009 - CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Stimulus Bill provides relief for some military homeowners
When the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was signed, it included provisions to expand the Homeowners' Assistance Program to military home owners who PCS with a certain time frameand who are unable to sell their home at their former base or who sell at a loss.
Previously HAP was only available to military members affected by the Base Realignment and Closure process.
Though this is not an Airman and Family Readiness Center process, individuals can contact A&FRC at 784-4228 for financial assistance. "
This should help the stress levels of our new comers to Cannon.
