Not being a snake aficianado, I didn't read any of those threads in question until a few days ago. The only post I disagreed with PK was on the employment situation situation in Roswell. Talk about an insignificent disagreement.
I appreciated his enthusiasm. Even some of the simplest posts he would make would get a lot of responses, like the one he made of the weather just being nice, the sky being clear, the air smelling fresh. I would wake up in the morning, have 2 cups of coffee, get on the net and go to city-data, and prefer reading that post as opposed to 99.9% of the politics/immigration forum, where apparently all this stuff came to a head.
Mortimer makes a great point on his p.s. How many times have I been happy to know I have a little more than an hour to change a poston city data and revise it to something that is a little less inflammatory? A lot of times! Have I said something on here that I wish I could take back? A lot of times! It would have been good to let cooler heads prevail, but that didn't happen.
This is a great post. I agree with all of it, especially the part about taking back something I've typed. That's why there are erasers on pencils.
Moderator - Please move pencilin's posts to the Great New Mexico whines thread.
Thanks, GregW
I like whine, but only if it's in Sangria.
When my eight year old drama queen gets to going, her voice gets fast and pitchy- I tell her I don't understand "Whine-ese" and as soon as she can start speaking English again, we'll talk.
Hard to believe this thread is still going but since we're talking about anything and everything and nothing to do with what it started out with, I'll say it again, please let this thread die out.
I'm not whining but this has gone far enough.
Now for the wine.....

LOL! Now we are really going to have to close this thread. Who can top that?

it is too early for the wine, but not the whine...
Many write that they cannot imagine what got him banned. I don't know, but I can guess. I looked at some of his work on the immigration forum plus recalling some of his posts here in NM and can easily see how he could get in trouble. Mostly, he was just 'salty,' but he could get angry.
In any case, I think people should get warnings rather than getting kicked off. For many people this is their first experience in participating in such a forum.
That's one of the reasons that I think there should be a 'cooling-off-period' after joining before a person can post. People should lurk for a while.
I read that post, and I agree with almost everything PK said. So ban me, I don't care. Viva El Pintada Kid!
