Yes, we could say that.

In Alaska, at eielson, we had a guy take down 52 runway lights with a sicard airblast runway sweeper.

His last name was pitts, he was a sergeant.

After his episode, he was airman pitts, and serving burgers at the inflight kitchen. We teased him by asking him for pittsburgers.

Anyway, he was not stupid or dumb. He could tell you how many cubic yards of snow fell onto the runways and taxiways. He was a genious at math. He definitely did not belong in the military. He was way too intelligent for that.

So ..... if we have a chatty thread, then every time one of our threads with a legitimate topic gets way off track into general chat, I am assuming we can mention something like "Maybe you guys need to take your chat to the chat thread" ?

I am all for being able to do that.

.....or will we still be seeing general chat posts on all the threads?

Even though I dont reside in New Mexico I think it would be cool to chat with some people from NM on a "off topic" chat thread.

Default drive-ins not dead!!!

Song, they are! There used to be this website Drive-ins.com - Drive-in Theater Database where there was a database of open & closed drive-ins around the country. You could pick a state and see what was there. If I remember right there were two still open in NM; one in Carlsbad and one near Las Vegas [I think]. And to my surprise, I discovered still there are hundreds and hundreds still open across the country - no joke! Drive-ins are absolutely not dead.

Unfortunately the website is not working for some reason. The link I posted is still an active webpage, but the search function is dead. I may have to contact the people who maintained it to see what happened.

I love drive-ins...they are the BEST!!!!

It's the mods job to tell us what to do and keep everyone in line, not posters.

It would be cool to chat with people out of state such as yourself that are interested in NM.

I think New Mexico would be cool to visit. I dont have any plans to go to New Mexico for a long time. I really just like to chat with different people from all over the states on here. New Mexico would be a cool place to chat.
