When do you go for basic training? My daughter went between 11 & 12 grade. It was tough on her when she came back to school. Teachers didn't know how to treat her - big difference in her attitude. - for the good.
This is her 21st year and is an E8 and does evaluations on transportation units in 25 states now. Plus a special Ed HS teacher.
You can go places with the education you get with the guard or what they will pay.

I am proud of you!

Thank you!

I actually don't get to do my basic training till next summer. Which would be between my 11th and 12th.

Congrats gdude. Proud of ya !!

Going to El Paso today to see if we can connect with a st. bernard. If so, we will have a new addition to our family. 3 dogs. How crazy is that?
Gotta finish getting ready.

A Saint Bernard? Wow, mighty big dog. I've always liked them, but never thought of getting one. I have not owned a dog in close to 40 years. I had a mutt (terrier mix) when I was a kid. Good luck. I hope it works out for you guys.

This pasty white boy uses 50 SPF lotion every day. It could reach 115 today. I will be inside most of today. Cubbies have a day/night doubleheader at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. I think the only time I will venture outside today is happy hour at 3:00 p.m.

Warm today here in the south central mountains. But, being from the area of conservative poor folks I will just turn on a ceiling fan. You take care over there in the heat!!!

That's all we have to run here are ceiling fans and that's all that's needed.

I feel for you all in the heat. It was extremely hot today when we went to El Paso and Alamogordo. What a furnace.

We ended up adopting the st. bernard. She's about maybe a year old and weighs about 80 pounds. Of course she'll get larger. She was possibly dumped in the desert and the humane society picked her and her companion male boxer and took them to the shelter.

SHe's had her shots and a clean slate healthwise but she needs to be spayed. That's being done on Tuesday and we can pick her up on Wednesday so Wed. is the big day. Then we will have 3 energetic dogs on our hands.
