It is quite hot and muggy, for sure...ugh!

But we sure do need the rain, so...have to take one with the other. I went in a couple of businesses this am...and the swamp coolers are not cooling so much.

Today probably won't be that bad at 88, but tomorrow is forecast to 97...yuck!!!

It's been breezy here but the mud was bad yesterday. Not bad today.

Thanks for asking, Song....it was absolutely wonderful.

I hated to come back. It was nice yesterday, with the rain and overcast. Today it's a hot, muggy steambath.

But I'm going back in August.

So how have things been with you?

Had a boatload of errands to run, so stopped at new El Parador....(in the space where Maximinio's was)...another bland, tasteless restaurant.

The best I can think of to describe it is a blanded-down stab at interior Mexican.

Speaking of Colorado I have an Aunt that is in the Air Force that's stationed at Buckley AFB. Aurora is a nice area! Wouldn't mind living there!

If I could afford it now, I'd be within the city limits of Durango itself! But it will most likely never happen--probably Farmington, NM or Cortez, CO. I'm looking in both places now, though it's going to be awhile.

Since north La Plata county, CO, is cooler most of the summer and very cold and snowy in the winter, I decided to look in warmer places so I could have the best of both worlds without having to drive so far.

Given that I have never lived in a really snowy area yet, I might want to get away to my warmer main residence, LOL!! I just don't know yet. This coming winter should tell me a lot.

Does your aunt like Aurora?

She'll have all of the advantanges as a suburb of Denver, with all of the amenities.

I had been looking at Colorado Springs, but I am not sure that I could take the sheer size and traffic of a Front Range City. You do get a lot of square footage plus a basement there, though. It's not entirely off of the list yet.

102 in Alamogordo right now.......the indoor pool felt good today. I love that first cold shock when you dive in, and it was even better when the heater was off.

My backyard might be small but I'm finding a way to fit a pool into it!!!
