Thanks for the heads up. Not a stamp collector but I like anything like that NM. Got The New Mexico 2012 statehood first day things Zia Pueblo, set of quarters proof, Chaco Canyon Proof....

I ordered a complete set of 1975 stamps to frame up for my daughters birthday from that Mystic Stamp. Then keep sending stuff and just got a complete catalog of USA from first year on. Kinda cool actually skimming through these things. Some very neat looking Kachina stamps in 1996.

Cool beans. We saw a movie on tornados there and three people in that film were killed in an Edmond, OK, tornado three weeks later. It was a decent theater then, but this is good news for Alamogordo's future.

Thanks for that info Gabe.

For those not familiar with the facility, it's a 2-part experience with the planetarium auditorium/show being separate from the IMAX movie theater auditorium. They are housed in the same building complex, as the name implies:

The theater will also be renamed the New Horizons Dome Theater and Planetarium.

Does anybody have any plans to celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service? I plan on going to Banadlier National Monument and do some hiking.

This may interest some who have an interest in oddball historical stories set in New Mexico. This is a reprint of a 1935 article in today's El Paso Times:

1935-whynot-put-el-paso-in-new-mexico

The subject comes up every now and then when someone decides the El Paso area, being so remote from the rest of Texas, should rightly be annexed to New Mexico. "Radium Springs" in the article is what "T or C" was once known as.
