New Mexico does have a AAA team for the Florida Marlins. The Isotopes from Albuquerque are the closest thing to the Show in NM. Very nice field across the street from the PIT (where the GON took place last week).
Thanks. I learn something new everyday. Wonder why nobody talks about them.
I started watching one but it looks like one where the man is continually cheating on his wife so I'm bored with that. There's one coming on at 1:40 called 'The Cradle'; it sounds scary and I like scary movies so maybe that one will pan out.
Thanks for the rep gdude. I'm unable to rep you now. Gotta wait somemore I guess.
JDTH- That's the way I've always looked at it. There's always someone worse off somewhere.
LOL, for those of us WW2 junkies i watched a really good movie called ''Downfall'' (2005) about Hitler's last 10 days in his bunker before he committed suicided as not only was the acting great and had heart to it but the special effects were really good especially of people getting shot and of the russian artillery exploding all around them etc.
Gdude....you's especially like it in that is was made in german (austria) as that gave it a more realistic feel to it although they had the english captions below to know what they were saying.
Thanks Jim. I'll check out the link.
When I lived in Virginia and Tennessee, they had AAA baseball but no one made a big deal out of them. There were some fans but Tenn. was more into college football and that gets boring after awhile.
6/3, sounds like an interesting movie about the last days of Hitlers life.
I love non-fiction.
Gdude, yes I've lived in those places among others.
I enjoyed living in both areas. In Va., I lived in Lynchburg, Appomattox and Alexandria. Alexandria is up by Washington DC and even though I met people that were from all over, I didn't care for the area and neither did my husband at the time.
I lived in Knoxville, Tn. and a suburb called Maryville. Moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Maryville, Tn. was a huge culture shock but once I got used to the people and they got used to what they called a 'yankee', I made some good friends.
I've lived in alot of places in the USA and have enjoyed each place I've lived in, some more than others. They each hold good and bad memories for me.
Re the SS $250.00 stimulus check..anyone get one yet....
I really don't think I will get one as I still own $$ on a student loan.
Seems you cannot qualify if you owe the gov't ANY $$$. Including being late on this years taxes...
I also don't really think that $250.00 is going to stimulate the economy...unless everyone spends the $ for the same thing....
How could this be measured....
Some folks would just gamble it away, pay on a credit card or ??
