We continue to look for a rural property in N. New Mexico, but trying to get info on some of the little out of the way places is difficult sometimes.

Can anyone tell me about the Cerro area, west of Questa? I'm fairly clear on what the weather would be like up there. I'm more wondering about the people (I'd had a previous question like this about the Anton Chico area.) We're just looking to get a little place to farm. Would we encounter cold shoulders in that area, or is it a 'live and let live' sort of place?

Any insight you can provide would be great.

I'd look at some of these threads for some insight until someone posts a more specific answer.

Thanks mortimer, for putting those links. Some of that I'd read previously via searches I've done on the forum, but quite a bit was new.

It would be really be good to hear from someone like Broke Brenda who says she lives in Questa. It sounded like she had moved from out of the area. Her big complaint was the economy (made worse by the clannishness), but that's not an issue for us, since we will bring our work with us (we work over the internet.)

Anyway, if Brenda or anyone else up there could chime in on the general 'vibes' of the area, I'd appreciate it!

And thanks again, mortimer.
