Jane and Song,
You were nice enough to take pictures of our lot on Homewood in the snow this February. From the sound of it this is the part of town that is worst hit. We were planning on coming up Memorial Day to start building. When things cool down, hopefully we'll find out how bad Homewood was hit. Wishing everyone on the mountain our best, it tears me up just thinking about it.

Skyranger was down there today as well as other media outlets - could have been, yes.

The information you all are providing on this thread is wonderful. We have also linked to it too.

Please also note that if you send a check to Salvation Army, and put Timberon, NM, the money goes to help those from Timberon.
Bethel Baptist in Alamogordo and Salvation Army in alamogordo sent food up to provide the firefighters meals. We have two friends that are taking care of this.

Haha! Yeah, I saw the newsvan camped out in front of the Fire Station.
They just brought in one of those huge choppers (sky crane?).
The wind is still mild but keeps threatening to pick up.

Just heard on the news that the ones that evacuated to Cloudcroft aren't allowed to come back home.
We just wanted to be home and took a chance that we could do that and came on back. The fire dept. said it would be okay to go back home.
I'm not sure if Cloudcroft accepted pets too or not.
I thought I heard a woman earlier today talk about finding a place for her cat.
Most people have pets so I'm not sure why they would not accept the people that have them but maybe this woman was talking about something else.
Helecoptors(sp) still flying around.
