Is that around the Dixwood / Carson area?

Right now things on this side of Timberon (Winter, Carson, and the Woods streets) seem to be calm.

Judy added your pictures to the TDC website.
That's Timberon Development Council for those of you that want to read more.

I saw Danelle right in the middle of things last night at the fire station. That's our Danelle! She seemed fine, I did not get to talk to her, she had about 10 uniformed guys following her around, looked like a crew. Kevin is most likely running his 'dozer somewhere.

Just saw JR and Lil, and John went up there to their house. The fire came close but no damage. I asked John about the storage shed, but John didn't see that anything burned. Could have missed it though.
Someone turned JR's steer loose yesterday so it could escape the fire (JR & Lil were not home) and it (the steer) was seen wandering around town this morning on the main street. Not sure if they caught it or not.

What else. . . oh - those who are asking about Oakmont - it is well away from the fire zone and should be just fine.

Song - which dog is Whiskey? Brown or white? I will keep an eye out for him.

I took a few pictures, the first ones taken from our front yard (Summer Dr) and the last ones taken at the Fire Station where everyone ended up.

It's afternoon here (1:00), and the wind has picked up slightly. I'm watching the horizon west of us. Nothing billowing. Hearing planes and heavy equipment.

Fingers crossed!

Thank you for reporting and the photos/videos. This was the only way to get good information. My son Scott and family lives on Caracas. Is this still a safe area? I was able to see his camper and trucks from Nan's pictures and it was comforting. God bless all of you!

I just looked it up, yes it's off Carson and Dixwood.
Coronado is just north of the fire area. But it's hard to tell by the map how far away.
Sorry I can't be more specific.

Its not close to the fire. Its about 3/4 - 1 mile from my place and I am OK. The fire is further south from you.
