What are you looking for? I think call centers are usually hiring, but I think I'd rather be the guy that walks around the city park with a trash pick up stick than get yelled at 8 hours a day by irate consumers.
It really depends on what you consider a deCent job.
And I have heard that UNM, APS, and the City are all on a hiring freeze. Can anyone confirm?
Oh, and I was at Einstein Bagels at 4 Hills yesterday and they had a sign up that they were hiring. Depending on who you are, working at the bagel shop can be decent.

Yes, you will have to be more specific as to what type of employment you mean. Very low skilled jobs ( requiring little or no education or skills ) are there and pay ( like everywhere else ) minimum wage. Semi-skilled ( call center ) which require a little more education and some skill ( the ability to read a script off a screen and type X words per minute plus pass a drug screen and complete training ) are also hiring. As you move up the food chain, the jobs get more scarce and more competitive.
Employment ads are in the paper ( abqjournal.com ) which should give you an idea of who's hiring and where to send resumes/inquiries.

I can confirm that the city is on a hiring freeze, with very very few positions being filled. Some exceptions but usually vacated positions are frozen and the work piled on existing emplyees.

Like the others have asked it depends on your skills and knowledge. I know you hate snow and cold as that would probably put you in vicenity of Las Cruces which is about 100,000 people but again it just depends what your looking for.

Most Likely Las Cruces. It depends on If we like it or not when we visit
Well to tell the truth I've worked mainly in Factories and Grocery Stores all my life Ive only got a High School Diploma We were dirt poor when I grew up so I never had enough money for college so didn't go
As for call centers I dont like bugging people on the phone to sale something or do debt collections I ,myself can't stand being bothered with that I usually hang up on those people
Thank you I need all the help I can Get these days.
