I am thinking of going to school at the community college in Clovis. Anybody know whether its a good school? Their website showed very low out of state credit costs. (I would be coming from Nebraska). I go to New Mexico at least once a year..mainly ABQ. But for Clovis I am having a hard time finding what apartments go for online. I can find a few different ones, but no information is available. Any help would be appreciated.

Right now, I am just wondering about housing. Availability and costs. Mainly costs. I didnt see anything about dorms..of course I would prefer to live off campus. Im closer to 30 than teens and have been out on my own for several years. I am not too concerned with crime as I am trained to handle those situtation. Thats why I want to go to college, for a career change. As for the rest of the school, just the regular questions. Quality of instructors and instructor availability for extra help if needed or tutor groups. Also I find $52/credit hr for out-of-state tuition really cheap. Thats not a typo? Any other information you could give would be great. Thanks.

Just curious . . . why would you move to Clovis to attend a small community college in a state not known for great public education? Certainly you could find something equivalent in Nebraska. Is there another compelling reason you want to be in Clovis?

I want out of Nebraska. I like the weather in New Mexico better. Also the people seem much nicer. I have been to over half of the U.S. and 4 countries. I just like the Southwest better. As for Nebraska colleges, they tend to be expensive and not all offer the degree I want. I just want a community college not a University. I can do 2 years at Clovis for less than 1 year at Lincoln (Nebraska) Community College. Im trying to get to ABQ but I dont really want to continue with my current career..even though I will if I have to. I would have to rely on ABQ PD reopening their out of state lateral transfers or Bernalillo County S.O. continuing to accept out of state laterals.
