Default Taos and Allergies

When I visited Taos just briefly this weekend, I had pretty serious allergy problems, particularly a sinus headache that only improved somewhat as I got further away from Santa Fe and Taos on the Rail Runner.

Is Taos generally considered worse for allergies than Albuquerque? Does anyone know if the pollen count is higher (on average)? It seems a good deal greener there.

There may be low humidity, high altitude, and sun exposure factoring into your allergy misery. Also, you probably did a fair bit more walking around outdoors.

The pollen could easily have been not as bad as Albuquerque, but your exposure and other environmental factors may have contributed.

Since grass and pigweed are in full swing right now, I like sticking with the wisdom of washing your face multiple times a day. It will help reduce the misery.
