Taking train to Raton but final destination is Taos. What are my options to get from Raton to Taos since train then heads south.

Basically U.S. 64, which takes you in directly. There are lots of small roads that are between the two towns, one route is going to Taos from Wagon Mound, which is a pretty drive.

I'm assuming you are taking Amtrak.

Take the train all the way to Santa Fe ( the Lamy station ).
Don't get off in Raton or Las Vegas.

From Santa Fe, there is a convenient shuttle to Taos.
The side benefit is that you can visit Santa Fe as a side trip.
