What's this?

We're heading up to Angel Fire to sit on the deck and watch the fireworks over Eagle Nest Lake, but could be back on the 5th.

I'm demonstrating at El Rancho De Las Golondrinas for the Santa Fe Wine Festival for the weekend. Haven't even considered the evening plan yet.

Thumbs up on the 4th...

Well. here in Fence Lake..we have a parade with tractors, pikum up trucks, cars, and Fire Trucks...I will be on one the Fire Trucks..and waiting for the 4th to go off with a bang..and hoping we don't have to put our roof fires etc.

Here in NM is a lot different that where I was...where fireworks were prohibited but lots were shot off anyway and some fires.

Should be dry this weekend..

and after the parade...BBQ with the usual + probable some elk and vension..etc.
and the best beans (pinto) around...

HAPPY TRAILS, AND BE SAFE HW

Moriarty parade. Hoping they put all of the horses at the end so I don't step in any landmines by accident.

Demonstrating? Demonstrating what? Drinking wine?

You need a beer demonstrator?

Many of the cities here (West Plains, Springfield, Willow Springs, Nixa, etc.) have canceled fireworks due to economy. We go to the local Country Club - they have a wonderful outdoor bar-be-que, swimming, contests and games, and finish off the evening with a nice fireworks display. But now they're talking rain on the fourth.

Capitan is having their annual parade, ranch rodeo and dances. Would like to go to Timberon but will depend on the weather. MCOL, one of our family cemeteries is down your way. Owens-Garroutte.

We usally hit that parade then head to Mescalero for the pow-wow. We also like watching the fireworks at the Carrizozo country club. May even watch a little of the rodeo and take the old gal for a spin on the dance floor.
