Lets see some of the fireworks displays around New Mexico. I'll start off, here are some pix of fireworks in Alamogordo last night, as well as some amazing lightning too. So you have have some good weather shots, put them up too!

There are a few to start. More to come.

Amazing photos! What type of camera do you use? My little point and shoot does not have the fast shutter speed to take these kinds of photos. I love the lightning ones!
I will add..just for fun..that the ABQ fireworks lastnight were, in my opinion, very disappointing! And what the HECK is up with the PD closing so many streets? It made me miss the hour long + fireworks in ND's capitol city, Bismarck!

Really great pictures. You should have been able to get some really good ones this evening with all the lightning around Alamo.

Actually I use a point and shoot camera too. I use a panasonic fz8, and actually you want to use a slow shutter speed, not a fast one to get the fireworks and lightning. I used between a 5-30 second exp. with a f8 fstop.
You just need a camera that will let you do a full manual control with it.

Along with a good tripod at that speed....great pics. The lightning and fireworks together are really something!

Great photos! I tried to leave a reputation comment, but I couldn't since apparently
I need to "spread reputation comments around".

Please post more if you have 'em!

I thought the Abq fireworks display was quite good considering the city is nearly 100 million in the red.
