Welcome! You are going to love it!

Actually I am green with envy - as we
just left after a wonderful 2+ weeks there & are now back
in the "blast furnace" of Phoenix - until we can excape again in Sept!

Enjoy the cool, the trees, the deer, the hummers, terrific T-storms & fantastic people!
Joyce

Joyce,

You can do it. One more summer, only about 2 more months of really hot stuff. I will be the one in envy next summer.

We are still a good 10-15 years out before we can think about spending the summer in Ruisodo. Dawn is still in her forties and retirement is not even a thought at this time.

Terri, we are already planning a dinner when you arrive..We will give you a few days to catch your breath. You have great neighbors - Pipeweld's in-laws.

Joyce, rain can hold off for a few days - my only mode of transportation is the ATV.. Power Steering went out on the truck this AM - Kent will not be back for a few days...
Oh well. More time to watch the hummingbirds.
Jane

Default Thanks for the encouragement!

How are you doing today??

Thankfully, you do have a place to escape to a few times during the summer & more when retirement does arrive! I've been here since 76 & it seems like the last 5+ summers have been almost Richter scale-like in the magnitude of HOT! I did enjoy Charlies' poem about summer

stay cool!

I've been in Tempe since 1978, but it seems like once I turned 50 (almost 4 years ago) that the heat gets to me a little more each year. I still like it much better than a Chicago winter, but need a few breaks during June, July and August.

We will be heading to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone at the end of August, so we need to tough it out about 6 more weeks. Should be really cooooooooooool up there!

songinthewind7: I don't think I'd mind the thunderstorms in Timberon. Those in Tornado Alley where I am are a different matter!
