Ramah reservoir has had big fish kills the last few years, for reasons that aren't exactly clear. I don't know anything about Black Rock or Pescado River, but you've got me interested now. I do most of my fishing in northern NM and southern Colorado, but it would be cool to try some different places this summer.

Ramah Lake is a good place to fish for large-mouth bass and catfish. The lake in Zuni is also a good spot to fish. There you can catch Rainbow Trout and Catfish. Nutria Lake is a little bit shallow. There are a lot of pelicans in that lake. I have not gone fishing there yet. Ojo Caliente lake is a excellent place to fish. There you can catch Rainbow Trout, Catfish, and Bass. I have gone fishing there the last three weekends. Of all the weeks, I have probably caught 30 fish. Lures are good, like rooster tail and red devils. Plus weights with Powerbait. Try the rainbow and corn scented. Hope you enjoy your fishing.

There was a fish kill there last year (Ramah Lake), but I've seen reports that some fish survived. It's beautiful there. I think it will take some time to build the fish numbers back up - I'm not sure if it's stocked or what.
