Moving to Deming in a few months and was searching online for internet providers there and came up with comcast and quest but their rates seemed a bit high after the first 6 mos.
Here in Ohio I only pay $19.95 a month for high speed thru AT&T.
Am I missing something?
Also can anyone provide me with any information on how the water co.bills you? Here anything over 3000 gallons your bill goes up.My water bill costs $60.00 a month

Water: cleanest natural aquifer in the us, at least on this side of the border with mexico. On city water? They Chlorinate... Domestic well right is still available, at least for the present. Have never lived in town, don't know what they charge... but this area has had drought for EVER. Water is the single biggest state-wide legal issue, and it comes up regularly.
And don't get me wrong, I like it here. The only advice I would offer is that you insure your own economic viability before moving down.
Comcast is Cable and AT&T is probably dsl. Cable is faster and does cost more than dsl in my experience.
I'm moving from WI to T or C in a week and yes, cable internet costs more in NM. I'm currently locked in at $29.95 a month for 12 Mbps of speed for 2 yrs with Charter but they sold the southern states and I'm going to get 9 Mbps at Baja (formerly Charter) and it'll cost almost $50. I have my own modem too. What surprised me is Comcast only served part of the city.
I believe that is what Charter costs here in DFW. I didn't know that they "sold the southern states", however. I wonder how that will affect my service.
Up here in Wisconsin they filed for bankruptcy protection 2-3 years ago so they could restructure. I assume they shed some of the smaller markets. If you're still Charter, they probably kept DFW. I would assume that's a pretty big market.
