Hill Rolls and/or Mountain Park
Looking at the map, it seems that High Rolls/Mountain Park are high enough to have a cooler climate than Alamogordo, but not so high as to have as cool a climate as Cloudcroft. It also appears that the road between La Luz and HR-MP is less adventurous if a driver stops at HR-MP rather than going all the way to CC. I have tried to get a look at homes sales, but find no access to the MLS that covers HR-MP. Can anyone tell me if my map based assumptions are correct and how to find out homes are for sale in HR-MP?

Climates
I think your assumptions are correct. Alamo is about 4350' elevation, Cloudecroft is 8600+', and High Rolls-Mountain Park are about 6400'-6600'. So it stands to reason that they have an intermediate climate. In fact, I found some data which shows that they do, at New Mexico. (This is a great climatological site!) I'm interested in property there too.

You can find home listings for the High Rolls area by going to REALTOR.com - Real Estate Listings & Homes For Sale and doing a map search. After selecting NM, then select Alamogordo. Once there you can select the High Rolls area to find current home listings. Aren't many since this is a small area. Hope this helps.

Is there an equivalent listing for the Socorro, Magdalena, Carrizozo, T or C area? the real estate listings in the El Defensor newspaper are pretty thin.

Is there a gym/fitness center in CC?
My wife and I will be in Alamo/CC area by May 2008 and she was inquiring about a workout/gym facility. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
