Well, Deming is small. That's what I have to say, electric I believe is Columbus Co-Op or PNM depending where you are, phone is Qwest, sattellite is DirecTv or Dish. You can bundle phone, internet, and Sattellite through Qwest, makes it kinda easier. Franklin Road is a nicer place to be, really in the boonies. I used to live out there. Amenities in Deming include Wal-Mart, the new movie theater/bowling alley/arcade, k-mart. They are getting some decent stores there lately. There is good food, I recommend Si Senor or Palma's for Italian.
Don't expect much greenery. It is the desert, lots of dust and wind, and good ole tumbleweeds. People are relatively friendly, couple of crazy folk in town. There is a mall, bigger restaurants in Las Cruces which is an hour away. Can't think of much else, have fun.
Thanks Nona1104, Do you live at Deming? We are looking forward to living there! Been out to visit that area briefly, my husband did a job interview and we house hunted all in two days!

We recently moved away from Deming, lol. I hope that you like it there, it has good and bad points all depends on what you are looking for. I don't know if you are looking to buy, but there are not a whole lot of rentals. My mom is in real estate if you are looking, if your looking for rentals grab a Deming Headlight and good luck, lol.
