Smile food stamps and the pell grant

If I receive food stamps and now receive a Pell grant, does this money go toward the unearned income and effect my $ amount of food stamps that I will receive...I also have a subsidized loan does that count also?

Pretty sure a Pell Grant would be untaxable income- wouldn't make make sense for the gov to give you money and then take part of it back. As such, I'd imagine that it doesn't count as income for SNAP.

Also, as for the subsidized loan, you should be able to deduct all interest paid from your income, so having that, if you are paying on it, will actually lower your income basis. It's been a few years since I have actually taken out a student loan and I'm only an attorney on the internet, so this information is accurate as far as I know, but if you have any problems you may want to ask somebody more knowledgeable.
