I will be visiting New Orleans over Thanksgiving and plan on bringing my road bike. I've heard many cyclists use the Levee Trail but that it is currently under constructions right now. Is there a certain place I should park now with the construction and is the entire trail fairly safe?

Thanks!

Only the portion from Audubon Park to Monticello was under construction. I'm not sure if they're finished yet. The other 9 or so miles is fine. You can park by Southport hall and ride from there all the way out to Norco and back. The trial is in a safe area from end to end.

Also, there's a path on the west bank river levee along Gretna and Algiers
