Just curious about the job situation for LPN's in New Orleans. I have done the craigslist and all the job sites. How easy/ hard is it to find employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Orleans? What is the pay scale? I have looked at the generic pay scales on sites such as monster and Indeed, I'm not sure how accurate those sites really are. Second question, seems really difficult to find a place that will rent to me without having a job lined up first. I can't find a job without already being a resident of New Orleans. Any Suggestions on known landlords that would be willing to rent to me. I have enough rent money saved up for at minimum 6 months. Any suggestions?

Im pretty sure nursing jobs are available, they really will be in abundance once the hospital in Eastern New Orleans and the Medical Complex in Mid City are complete. As far as the housing front is concerned, I'm sure if you look on Craigsliist or even in the rental section of the times picayune, you could find something in your budget.

Nursing homes hire LPNs. As far as pay, I cannot confirm what that would be. Hospitals are hiring RNs. This is the current trend.
