Default Possible Relocation to New Orleans
I am 47, single, with no children. My job on the East Coast is ending soon, and I am a candidate for a position in New Orleans near Lafayette Square. It's a good opporunity that builds on what I have done for the last few years, but I am a little concerned about relocating to New Orleans given the horror stories one hears about the post-Katrina conditions in and around the city. Any views on a voluntary relocation to New Orleans? Any advice on where to live?

If you enjoy urban living, live Uptown which is a 5 mile commute in...

Things are what you make of it here. If you can afford it you can live well and enjoy it here a great deal. If one is poor and live on a high crime block, you may have problems.

The horror stories are overblown overall IMHO.
