Question NOLA French Quarter Area Hotels??

Hello everyone--I am planning & researching some hotels in the FQ. I have been to NOLA once and stayed @ the St. Louis Hotel. It was an okay stay and the price was great for around 60 bucks a night. I plan on taking another trip back to NOLA and was looking around on the internet for hotels around the 60-70 $ price range. I found the Lamonte House on Esplanade on the outer edge of FQ and its sister property the Frenchmen Hotel. Is one better than the other? Are there other properties in the FQ that have cheaper rates that would be a bargin? The Lamone House looks like more of a B&B but looked nice. Didn't know much of the area on the east side of quarter or what to expect. Any recommendations or ideas are appreciated. Loved my last visit to NOLA and looking forward to the next. Thanks!!

I have stayed at Queen and Crescent Hotel, but honestly cannot remember the price, I think it was pretty reasonable!

Hallzjc, try going to nola dot com, click on forums and select the Mardi Gras forum. Quite a few of the people there are from out of town, but visit quite frequently and can help you with your question. Best wishes!
