"Bonafied Cajun" is about 2hrs west of New Orleans. You're not going to find a lot of cajun in and around the city.
Rock and Bowl has a legit Zydeco night, maybe Thursdays? Tipatainas has the occasional Zydeco show. You'll have to keep an eye out:

Drive to Breaux Bridge and New Iberia, or basically you need to make your trip around the city of Lafayette, New Orleans has no cajun culture.
