Default What neighborhoods in Slidell didn't flood?

We're looking around at places to buy, but we don't want to buy in an area that flooded. Any ideas? Streets?

I'm not sure of specific areas in Slidell that have less trouble with flooding, but I think the whole city is safer when it comes to flooding than New Orleans. Slidell is close to a swamp, and any place that is near wetlands is less likely to have sever flooding.

I believe that anything north of I-12 would be relatively safe, Mom got a place up there after losing her home and the place hadn't flooded for K. A relative's home near Country Club Blvd. didn't flood either.

LOTS of Slidell flooded. My son's co-worker had 10 ft. of water in his house/subdivision. South of I-12 is not a good place to be.

North of I-12 didn't flood. If you have children, East of Slidell is where the family-oriented neighborhoods are and the good schools(Northshore High) are.
The houses are more expensive east of Slidell, but they are nicer and are in better neighborhoods.
