Default Sunday in New Orleans

Are restaurants and stores closed on Sunday in New Orleans, or anywhere in Louisiana? I have heard that this is common in some of the southern states.

Some are, but many are not. It just depends on the store/restaurants. The smaller Mom/Pop businesses would be the ones that would tend to be closed.
