Default Mardi Gras Costuming

I absolutely LOVE costuming on MG! Pre-K it used to be all about the cow. I had a cow costume with a rubber udder, (yes I did show my teats), and the cow used to costume. For example, one year the cow choose to be Divine Bovine, where she dressed up as the actor Divine from the movie "Hair Spray;" another year the cow dressed as Cow-a-Bunga where we were surfer cows, dude.

Anyways, since we lost the cow costumes in K, it's all been about satyre. This year I seem to be a bit dry in the satyre department, but I found these awsomely tacky gold lame' stretchy pants. I just have, have to do something with those things...

Any whoo, with the dwindling supply of costumers, (heck we're almost extinct), is there anyone else out there who is obsessively silly over MG costumes as I? Tell me/us about some of your best costumes, ideas, etc.; I'd love to hear!

Well, last year my husband and I were rather bland pirates, but we had the MOST AWSOME PARROT sidekick, anyone's ever seen. She had beautiful sequinned feathers, rinestone beak and a cobalt blue face. She was beautiful. Unfortunately she had a bit of a tough time getting that blue off of her face!
Another year she was a diaper wearing astronaut with salad bowls attached to her head for a helmet and dryer venting hose strapped to her back, carrying a sign that stated " I just want to talk!" Brilliant just brilliant! Wonder what she would do with tacky gold lame' pants?
