Alligators aren't dangerous sierraAZ as long as you don't agitate them. As long as you don't throw stuff at them and leave them be they don't care about you. Sometimes they will attack dogs, but, it's mainly because they get tired of the dog(s) barking at them in their face. The rare attack you hear about is just that---it is rare...VERY rare. I wouldn't recommend swimming with them like you would a dolphin, but, I've swam in bayous many times in my life and I know somewhere in there were alligators. But, now in my adult life, I keep the swimming to a pool.

Default 'Gator PoBoys from the Rivershack on the old River Road

Just talking about eating gator makes my heart skip a beat! Nothing is better than 'gator. Miss the ol' days of the 'gator fests in Luling and the one in St Charles Parish. Though I have to admit - the best 'gator in the WORLD is found in Sebring, Florida at the Wild Turkey Saloon.

Oh how I miss the bayou...
