Hi!
I'm traveling to NO in April for a teachNOLA interview...and I'm trying to keep my costs down by staying in a hostel- the Marquette House. I've stayed in hostels before, and I am not opposed to roughing it...not expecting it to be super clean based on reviews I've read.
But anyways, I'm looking for ground transportation options from MSY to the Marquette House area (Uptown/Garden District)...once again, I'm trying to do this "on the cheap." How is public transportation there? I noticed that there is a bus route from the airport to the Tulane area...but I'm not sure how to get to the Marquette House from there. I'll be flying in on a Thursday, staying Friday, and flying out Saturday evening.
It's probably pretty obvious that I've never visited NO before, so any tips would be much appreciated.
I'm excited to visit and check into teachNOLA further. I'm an experienced, credentialed teacher, and would love to put my talents to good use in your wonderful city!
