Default Places that serve vegetables

Are there any places in the French Quarter that serve vegetables? In Tennessee we called them "Meat and 3". They serve plate lunches with your choice of a meat and two or three vegetables. These are typically homestyle cooking, not glamorous food. While he eats meat in small portions, my husband prefers vegetables and pasta over meat dishes. We will be in the city for French Quarter Festival in April. I am looking ahead. Thanks for any help.

Default lots of places

As a vegetarian, most larger places in the quarter will make something up for you. That's what we've always done. I remember the Palace Cafe on Canal made a nice vegetable dish for us. I think the Bourbon House also made some sort of pasta and vegetable dish for us. Just ask before you go in...I'm sure they'll be accomodating....Commander's Palace is great for that too, if you go there...but that's in the Garden District. Good luck!

Cafe Bamboo.

It's next to Tomitilla's and in the Dragon's Den on Esplande.

My friends own/operate it and it's amazing. I'm a strict carnivore and I love the food.
