ASI Lloyds is a new homeowners insurance company that is new to the state within the last year and a half. I just bought a homeowners policy through them this past June.

I wont say who I was with before lets just say We were NOT IN GOOD HANDS after Gustav in 2008. This so say GOOD HANDS insurance company denied my claim for damages to my home in 2008 with there 5% named storm Deductable. I had a huge Oak tree that was uprooted and fell on my fence and crushed it completely to the ground also a portion of that tree fell on my roof gaping hole and water pouring in my home, Eight days with no electricity spoiled food in freezer & Fridge. After I recieved three different quotes for repairs that amounted up to about $10,500 (my deductable was $6,250.00) I should have recieved the $4,250.00 difference. The GOOD HANDS Adjuster came and did what he had to do and I gave him the three estimates. A few days later I get a notice from this Insurance company saying my total loss was $6,157.62 just under the deductable amount of $6,250.00. So I appealed another adjuster came, in the mean time I done fixed all the damage roof & gutters, removed tree & root ball, replaced fence and lived with concrete floors in the area where the water poured from the hole in the roof. Still have not heard noting by march of 09 after lots of painstaking phone calls and being on hold & transfer after transfer, I finally gave up on them, and said I'm gonna fix them when renew time comes. I recieved a renewal notice from them (I was expecting them to drop me).

So I shopped around and got a new police from ASI Lloyds, what really shocked me was that the named storm deductable was a flat $1,000 no percent of the value of policy like most of the other quotes I got (I don't know if your named storm Deductable will be that low being you are probably in the New Orleans area, I'm in Opelousas area since Katrina, Hoping to move back to New Orleans soon. I've never had to make a claim with them hopefully never will I have to, so I don't know but so far I'm satisfied knowing I no longer have that big 5% deductable and the new police was $47.00 less than what the Renewal from Bad Hands Insurance Company.

To make matters worse Good Hands Insurance Company (ok Ill say there name ALLSTATE CROOKS) called me twice wanting to know why I didn't renew my Policy with them, and they even sent me a Survey in the mail to see why. I was with Allstate for 7 years without any claims what so ever. What made me mad was that the first time I do have a reasonable claim I'm Denied even after haveing three different quotes from contractors for damage estimates.
Just stay away from Allstate.

K I wont vent my frustration any longer Good Luck
