Dominican hair salons and Lemisol
Are there any Dominican hair salons in the New Orleans area? Any stores that would sell Lemisol?

I don't think there are any Domenican salons in the area. I've actively tried to find them for the past 2 years but nothing. There are a few salons in the area that do ethnic hair (pretty EXPENSIVELY) but something I've learnt is that most (ethnic) people get their hair done at home by family or friends. The salon at Walmart is also fine if you're desperate/ in a hurry and don't have an appointment. As for the Lemisol, if there are any products you want and can't find at the BSS in town (and they don't really stock many Domenican/ Caribbean products), my advice to you would be to just order it online.

Wow! I wish knew people who knew how to do the "Dominican Blow-out". I could possibly make some money. But really, please let me know if you do come across any. Yes, I would not even mind going to someone's house. No one seems to know anything though. I will try online for products though. Thanks y'all.

My husband (Dominican) has been looking for someone to braid his hair, and today we found a lady (also Dominican) who does hair out of her home. I'm sure she styles women, too. I can get you her number....  |

I'm not. But when I lived in Boston, I went to Dominican salons and learnt to appreciate the wonderfulness of a Dominican blow-out.
