I agree, Orestes! My husband and I both started using the "squeeze" type sinus rinse bottles back around Thanksgiving. It has made a world of difference to both of us. I recommend it highly. It is a little weird at first, but the relief is SO worth it.

My allergies are so much better today, but the last few days when my nose was running, it wasn't stuffy, if that makes any sense. I kept having to blow it, but things were flowing, if you know what I mean, lol! SOOO much better than sinus congestion and pain. I totally credit the sinus rinse for that.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. It's better that it flows with no congestion. As long as it's "flowing", your body's natural mechanisms are expelling the allergens. When it clogs up, that stuff just sits in there and continues to prompt an allergic response. At times I've used various allergy meds to deal with the runny nose. I've found that using the rinse with daily doses of something like zytec or claritin almost completely eliminates any response in me.

It is sooooo weird the first time, or even the first few times, that you use the rinse. But the payoff is priceless. You also have to learn how to get all the fluid out so as to avoid ear problems. I generally turn each ear to the ceiling and pull my earlobe so that any fluid that made it into my ear canal gets cleared out. South Louisiana can be a tough place for anyone with sensitive sinuses. Even worse, being a... well i'm not a "little fella", so the snooty nose kinda makes me feel like a dorky little nerd. I mean, I am a bit of a dorky nerd, but i'm not really too little...

I'm a dorky nerd, too, and proud of it ;-)
