Robert's Fresh Market uptown (I think it's Claiborne at Carrollton) is pretty well stocked too (but expensive, like Whole Foods (which is the one at Arabella Station). They've got a good salad and olive bar and good roasted chicken though.

Yeah, there is nothing like a store with 40 cash registers, 2 of which are
open at any given time. When did they think they were going to use 40
registers? USELESS. Anyone in downtown or uptown that shops there
should be beaten. I would go Rouse's, Winn Dixie, Langenstein's. Rouse's
has a much more Bayou flair, Langenstein's is more New Orleansy and WD is, well, WD.
