Would a very drunk, drunk, or mildly drunk person grab my mother and throw her in the traintracks?

I'm young, i'm twenty, and i've seen how people act when they are drunk. When i'm drunk I act stupid, but I do nothing to harm anyone, no physical contact.

But some drunks go insane....real insane.

I live in New York City, and sometimes my mom goes out late at the night, and she's in the subways.

A lot of drunk people use the subways, and i'm wondering what are the chances that they may just grab her, and throw her in the train tracks?

I've seen drunks on television, but...they are really "out there" when you meet them in reality. There's no telling what they would do

Sure, anything's possible. But if you go that route, then you should read the Gothamist crime map or one of the more tabloid-oriented newspapers and see what random unfortunate fates befall people in the NYC area every day. You might be able to start worrying about all sorts of other random stuff, which should help keep your mind off the drunk people in the subway!

A drunk person? Most likely not. An insane person? Maybe

Maybe you should worry about her getting mugged more so than thrown on train tracks.

Not likely but definately not impossible. This why I always describe the subway experience as trick or treat. Nothing beats getting into ur car and locking doors

I'd be more worried that a drunk person would throw up on your mother rather than grab her and throw her on the train tracks. To be honest, I've never heard of that happening. Crazy, yes. Drunk, no. And even the crazies - I've only heard of that happening once or twice - ever.
I really don't think you have anything to be worried about.
