Wondering if anyone has any great sources for places that regularly sell appliances with minor cosmetic damages for discounted prices. I know that most showrooms will have one or two items that are discounted floor models, etc., but wondering if there are any types of "outlets" that deal specifically with this sort of merchandise.

I'm looking for a refrigerator in particular.

Thanks for any information.

Check the restaurant supply stores on Bowery Street in Chinatown. They have anything from a small spoon to large refrigerators. They are open mon-sat and a few on sunday.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I should have thought of that!

Anyone else?

Check out a few of the appliance store outlets in New Jersey and Long Island. There is a Sears outlet right outside of Newark, NJ in the Oranges and they sell outlet appliances that are cosmetically damaged or overstocks with significant mark-downs. Do a search on the searsoutlet website as it will give you the prices and even the equipment on hand. Also PC Richards has an outlet in Deer Park, LI that sells outlet appliances. However they do not have a website. Good luck.

Great place to start. Unfortunately that industry is about to become extinct over there.

Who needs a restaurant supply district when we can have more luxury condos
