Hi, we'll be visiting the city with kids next weekend and I'd love to treat them to their first Broadway show. I realize there are no guarantees, but what's your best guess on whether same day tix will be available for half price at the TKTS booth? Is the show still selling out, or is that a fairly safe bet?

The last time I checked for this show, it was six months' ahead of time, to get in................maybe it has changed................but I doubt that you would be able to get same- day tickets, for a family. Good-luck.

All of these sites offer discounts on B'way shows. You can print the discount out and bring it right to the box office.

You can also try the TKTS booth but I wouldn't recommend it.

Check out this site: www.ilovenytheater.com

That will tell you about all the current B'way shows and even gives age-appropriateness.

Lion King was a GREAT show but if you can't get those tix, there are plenty of others to choose from.

Check out the website below it gives a list of what was on the TKTS booth line last week. Gives you an indication of what you might see next week.

Note that the Lion King isn't listed.

The Lion King is only listed at a discount in the dead of the Winter when all of the tourists have cleared out.

Lots of Luck.
